Sennelier extra-fine soft pastels are water soluble and have an unparalleled depth, luminosity and intensity. Each pastel is composed of high quality pure pigment and a natural transparent binder. Ultra-fine gradations in color are achieved by increasing amounts of transparent mineral fines. The naturally air dried sticks are not compressed and extra soft, so that even a gentle stroke delivers a solid, powerful line of brilliant color and large areas may be readily covered with a lush, luxurious color.
